people tend to forget that Coppola was still writing Apocalypse now as they were shooting, or that the paint on the walls on the Tantive IV were still wet when filming, or that a lot of background dogfights at the site of the second death star were between chewing gum and sneakers.

Once you start making films, you get interested in making better films. (or, retiring on a huge wad of cash ...)
